Insurance Advisor
MEER (Mirrors for Earth’s Energy Rebalancing) seeks a highly skilled and experienced insurance advisor to advise MEER on the best insurance coverage to purchase for its needs. Insurance needs include project-based insurance for deploying MEER mirrors in the field, employee insurance, and general liability insurance. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for solving the climate crisis, extensive insurance experience, and a willingness to advise the finance and leadership team on insurance policies. The role is volunteer based and expectations are for 5-10 hours per month. The time requirement will likely be focused according to the project.
Objective of this role

Job Responsibilities
Skills and qualifications
- Successful experience and skills in obtaining and advising on insurance policies in the past, especially for project / real asset based insurance.
- Experience obtaining policies in international markets as many of MEER’s projects are in Asia and Africa
- Excellent communications kills including the ability to clearly summarize and explain policies and trade-offs.
- Attention to detail.
- Fluency in English
