Mirrors for Earth's Energy Rebalancing - MEER - is a non profit research and development organization designing and deploying surface-based mirror arrays and solar reflectors.  These arrays provide localized cooling advantages and if deployed in significant quantities could help to reduce the amount of heat that is absorbed by the Earth's surface to avoid catastrophic effects of climate change while efforts to reduce persistent carbon accumulations in the atmosphere are ongoing.
