MEER visits the Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology campus in Makeni in preparation for water experiments

On May 22, 2024, Dr. Ye Tao and the MEER Freetown team visited the Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology campus in Makeni to share MEER's groundbreaking work and to explore new collaborative opportunities with the university. Their visit was highly anticipated, and they were warmly welcomed by faculty members from various departments, as well as enthusiastic students eager to learn about innovative solutions for a sustainable future.

During his presentation at the university's auditorium, Dr. Ye Tao, the Founder and Executive Director of MEER, delved into the organization's mission and MEER's use of discarded materials to create sustainable products. He highlighted the transformative impact of innovation in addressing environmental challenges, inspiring the audience to think differently about waste and sustainability. His insights not only challenged but also instilled a sense of hope in the audience, making them believe in the power of innovative solutions for a sustainable future.

MEER showcased a variety of prototypes, including different types of zinc roofing and solar concentrators.
