On May 22, 2024, Dr. Ye Tao and the MEER Freetown team visited the Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology campus in Makeni to share MEER's groundbreaking work and to explore new collaborative opportunities with the university. Their visit was highly anticipated, and they were warmly welcomed by faculty members from various departments, as well as enthusiastic students eager to learn about innovative solutions for a sustainable future.

Rose Taylor, a geography teacher at Chew Valley School, will cover 28 miles during the challenge which will include bridges across the city, finishing at the iconic suspension bridge in Clifton.

The Freetown Innovation Week (FIW) 2024, a one-of-a-kind event held from May 13th to 16th, was a remarkable convergence of Sierra Leone's brightest minds and innovative entrepreneurs.
